How booking works

Stays, programmes and experiences are booked in a few steps. What happens after you pay depends on how the partner takes bookings.

1. Choose your dates and guests on the listing. We show a price quote.
2. The quote shows the deposit due now and the balance. Quotes are held for 15 minutes, so complete payment within that time.
3. Pay the deposit online. The deposit is the only amount collected through Wellnest Bay for these bookings.
4. The balance is paid to the partner directly, as shown on your booking page as "Balance due at property".

Instant confirmation or partner confirmation

Some partners confirm instantly. Others are request-to-book: your booking shows as pending until the partner confirms it. If the partner declines, your deposit is refunded in full.

Event tickets work differently: they are paid in full online at the time of purchase, with no balance to pay later.
